Yeah... I'm hoping my ego doesn't get the best of me and I end up in the ditch with them!!!

As for the Michelins... I hate the look of them... would like a sportier, more squared tire but the Latitude Tours get GREAT reviews and are a pricy tire!

Just turned 29,000 miles on the D yesterday (2011) and have owned it since 14,500 miles (August 2014).... tread is decent so far... but another 10k on them and I believe I'll be shopping for new...

As far as an all season tire... they did ok last year in the snow... but anything bad we took my 4x4 Dakota out...

DUALLY SET UP ON THE D!!!!! :p

Same exact size as stock... 265/60 R18...

they are taller sitting next to the D...

1) basically brand new tread.. 3k tops (stockers have 29k on them)
2) no weight of a 5000+ lb SUV pushing down on them

threw me off a little bit when setting them next to the stockers... but 29k will take a couple tenths off... and 1250 - 1300 lbs on each tire will squat them a little

I was originally thinking of the same... and if my stock Michelins needed replaced I would have done so and gone with some 20s but after paying $300 for the basically new tires, $150 for the wheels, and $92 mount/balance (with free anytime balancing and replacement warranty) I thought I came out OK at under $550.

The wheel design looks sharp with the aggressive treads. How did you score Jeep wheels?? I would really like a second set of wheels for winter tires but not sure how much cash I want to shell out. In the PNW, the crap they use on the roads will devastate a cheaper aluminum wheel.
I keep my eye out on Craigslist for a couple weeks... not the best of shape... but for winter they will be perfect... plus the set I bought came with stock TPMS sensors so they should calibrate automatically after a few miles of running them.

Jeep take-offs aren't too rare. Check any forums dedicated to Jeep Wranglers, they will usually have for sale sections. Those 18" wheels are Sahara take-offs, Rubis are 18" as well I think; Sport models will have 17" wheels. I put Blizzaks on 17" Jeep GC take-offs on my 14 Durango and they fit just fine. It's below the recommended size, but they clear the calipers and the tire shop didn't say a word when putting them on.
